WELCOME TO WILSHIRE
You are always welcome at Wilshire. Regardless of who you are, where you're from, what kind of job you have or don't have, what kind of family you're from, there's a place for you in the community of faith at Wilshire. We're Baptist by tradition, Christian by conviction and ecumenical in spirit. We're open to all and closed to none.
We're different than most other Baptist churches you'll find in Dallas. We have a worship format that will feel familiar in some ways to Baptists and Methodists and Presbyterians and Lutherans and Catholics. We're a church for both the head and the heart, combining passion for the gospel with serious thought about the teachings of the Bible.
Explore our site to learn more about our excellent programs for preschoolers, children, youth, adults and senior adults. We're an inclusive church for all ages and a church for the ages. We hope to meet you soon!

WHAT TO EXPECT
Most often, guests first attend a Sunday morning worship service as their front door into Wilshire, but it's OK to come in through a Sunday School class, special event or small group like MOPS or the Early Childhood Learning Center. On Sunday mornings, you'll find adults wearing everything from business casual attire to more traditional Sunday church attire. We're more traditional than casual, but you don't have to show up in pearls or a top hat.
SANCTUARY ENTRY. Enter the Sanctuary from the Narthex doors underneath the steeple or from any other door to the building. At most doors, greeters stand ready to welcome you and point you in the right direction. To find a Sunday School class, stop by the Welcome Center located in James Gallery, the glassed-in space behind the prayer garden on the north side of the Sanctuary.
CHILD CARE. Child care is available for preschoolers younger than kindergarten age during both morning worship services. Children in kindergarten or older attend worship with their parents. The preschool hallway is secured requiring a code for entry. Guests can press a button on the wall and someone will come and welcome you and your children. The preschool hallway is located on the north side of the Sanctuary parallel to James Gallery with doors at either end. Computer check-in stations provide an added layer of security for preschoolers.
GUEST PARKING. On Sunday mornings, special parking spaces are designated for visitors in both the north and south parking lots. Look for the signs. Additional parking on Sunday mornings is available at Hillside Village shopping center, located immediately south of the church and on neighborhood streets behind the church to the east. Look for the signs saying on which side of the street you can park.
