Upcoming 2008 activities for Wilshire Adventurers
  • Day trip to Tyler, Friday, March 28. After a 7:30 a.m. departure, the group will tour the Goodman Museum in Tyler, travel on the Azalea Trail, eat lunch at Tradition Cafeteria and attend the Tyler Quilt Show.
     
  • Game Day, Friday, April 4. Join the Adventurers from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. for board games and lunch.
  • Outing to Lone Star Park, Thursday, April 24. Watch the horses and enjoy a barbeque buffet at Lone Star Park in Grand Prairie. Chartered bus will depart the church at 4 p.m.
  • Trip to Galveston, May 14-16. This two-night trip will include a tour of NASA’s Space Center Houston, visits to historic homes in Galveston and Moody Gardens, as well as time to stroll and shop along the Galveston Strand.
  • The longer trip for 2008 is a fall foliage tour to New England, led by Associate Pastor Mark Wingfield. Plans are in development, with a target travel date the last week of September into the first week of October. More details will be published as the trip is finalized.
    All Adventurers activities are open to any adult in the community, whether a church member or not, and are geared for adults 55 and older.
