Jake Hall

 Jake Hall is one of four residents on staff at Wilshire serving a two year residency in Pastoral Ministry.  He is currently in his second year. Jake is a 2003 graduate of The Divinity School at Duke University with a Master of Divinity and a 1999 graduate of Samford University with a Bachelor’s degree in Religion.

Before coming to Wilshire in 2003, Jake served in congregations in Alabama and North Carolina.

He and his wife Erin have been married for four years. Erin is an educator, who currently teaches reading for grades 7, 8, and 9 at Liberty Junior High in Richardson, Texas. They have one pet, a lovable English bulldog named Harley.

SMITH-Dennis

Dennis Smith was born in and grew up in Tyler. A self-confessed nerd, he excelled in science and mathematics, but believed if he were a good Christian, he would become a missionary (his father’s brother was a missionary to Brazil).
