We are now able to offer Online Giving for which you may choose to use a credit card for your contribution.

Fall emphasis includes $1 bills in offering plates

“Come and Worship” will be the theme of Wilshire’s fall stewardship emphasis. Beginning in October, all worshippers are invited to place $1 bills in the offering plate each Sunday, in addition to whatever tithes and offerings they normally give.

Other announcements HHM dental clinic opens. The dental clinic at Healing Hands Ministries has now opened, providing service alongside the medical clinic. Healing Hands is a charity clinic serving the Lake Highlands community with support from Wilshire and other churches and individuals. The dental clinic served 12 patients its first night. Healing Hands now has 483 medical patients who will be among the first eligible for dental service. Half-price Stars tickets. Wilshire has a block of 30 half-price seats at the Dallas Stars game on Nov. 13. Tickets are $20 apiece and are available in the church office. Join Wilshire friends to watch the Stars take on the Kings. Game time is 7:30 p.m. Location is American Airlines Center. Working mothers luncheons. The next luncheon for working mothers is scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 14, at Pei Wei at the Knox-Henderson exit off Central Expressway. Dennis Smith was born in and grew up in Tyler. A self-confessed nerd, he excelled in science and mathematics, but believed if he were a good Christian, he would become a missionary (his father’s brother was a missionary to Brazil).
