Some of Wilshire’s best adult Sunday School teachers have signed on to help lead the new Foundations of Faith Class.

This Bible basics class begins on Jan. 22 and will meet during the Sunday School hour, 9:40 to 10:45 a.m., in Room 3207.

“This class is especially created for those who want to increase their overall understanding of the Bible and its content, as well as those who may be new to church life and want to learn the Bible for the first time,” said Abbie Huff, minister to adults.. “It will also be a great way to meet other newcomers and find a place to plug in. If you haven’t found a Sunday School home, try this class. All are welcome.”

The class is not intended to steal active members from existing classes but rather to engage congregants who haven’t yet found a class or who have dropped out of other classes.

From January through August, the class will focus on Old Testament basics, from Genesis to the minor prophets. Participants will be invited to drop by for one or two weeks or for the entire study.

A later segment will cover the overarching narrative of the New Testament in weekly installments.
