Are you a wise health consumer? If so, this month is dedicated to you. If not, this month is focused on helping you become one.
What does it mean to be a wise health consumer? First, a wise health consumer is one who is aware of healthy lifestyle practices. The three most important aspects to maintaining good health are diet, exercise and regular health check-ups.
Diet plays a primary role in the development of about one-third of all types of cancer, as well as cardiovascular disease and diabetes. Regular exercise is important as well. How much exercise should one get? The current recommendation is at least 30 minutes of exercise most days of the week.
A wise health consumer maintains a balanced spiritual life as well as mental and physical. Spending time each day in prayer, Bible study and meditation contribute. Optimal health is a blending of body, mind and spirit.
