A variety of opportunities for learning occur at Wilshire:
Computer Classes - beginner and intermediate lessons offered at no cost. Instruction usually cover e-mail, using the Internet, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel. Tailored to the needs of students who register and complete questionnaires, each session last for six weeks. Next sessions begin in September. For more info: Max Post 214-823-6733
Marriage 1-on-1 a monthly meeting for couples, usually on a Friday evening, that provides presentations, discussions and activities focusing on healthy marriage relationships. For all ages of married couples. After the 45 minute session, couples go off campus for dinner. Complimentary childcare is provided, but reservations are necessary. For more info: Laurie Taylor.
WAFA - Wilshire Academy of Fine Arts - private instruction for children and adults of all ages in a professional environment that is open to the community. Lessons are offered in piano, voice, organ and guitar.
Wednesdays at Wilshire - Find more intimate fellowship with other believers around the table at our Wednesday lunch and dinner Bible studies. From mid-August through late July, church chef, John Jost, prepares the best "church food" you've ever eaten. Both the noontime and evening gatherings conclude with Bible study led by Senior Pastor George Mason, or by the Pastoral Residents.
Women's Ministry - Bible studies and activities for women. For more info: Tiffany Wright
Men's Ministry - Bible studies, an annual ski trip, and an annual camping trip for men.
Wilshire Academy - a twice a year discipleship training event for adults of all ages. No cost and no advanced registration. Typically, between 7-9 different classes are offered on a variety of topics on a Sunday during three time slots: 11 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. Lunch is served to all participants between noon and 12:30. All sessions and lunch are held in Community Hall. Child care is available for younger children. Our last Wilshire Academy was held in January. For more info: Mark Wingfield
