Care Ministries

Wilshire’s people strive to be the hands and feet of Jesus not only in faraway places but also within the immediate community. Whether you’re in a time of life where you need someone to walk with you or when you’re strong enough to walk alongside someone else, an array of care ministries may provide the connection.

Prayer requests

A team of volunteers and staff pray for the church and its people throughout the week. If you have a prayer concern you’d like us to know about, please submit it via this form or send an email to prayer@wilshirebc.org.

Wilshire’s support group for those experiencing a chronic or undiagnosed illness meets on Zoom the second and fourth Tuesdays every month at 7:30 p.m. To learn more, contact group leader Annette Miller.

Grief and Loss Center of North Texas

The mission of the Grief and Loss Center of North Texas, based at Wilshire, is to walk alongside those who grieve and offer hope. The center provides support in a safe place where children, teens and adults can share their experiences. Unconditional acceptance, understanding, compassion and confidentiality are this group’s trademark. Through education and support groups, individual consultations, children’s day camps, services of remembrance, seminars and workshops, the center provides a host of services in an effort to offer hope to those who are grieving. The Grief and Loss Center relies on the generosity of individuals, businesses and foundations for its ongoing support yet never charges individuals or families for its services. Learn more on the Center’s website.
