Children's Music and Missions

On Wednesday evenings during the school year, Wilshire offers an outstanding program of children's choirs and children's missions education.

Dinner is served in Fellowship Hall from 5 to 6 p.m. Each week's menu includes specific kid-friendly options. Ages 6-11 cost $4.00. (Ages 12 and up cost $6.00; ages 5 and under are free).

Children's choirs
Choirs meet on Wednesdays from 6 to 6:45 p.m. (during school year)

Children in grades one, two, and three participate in the Music Makers choirs. The fun curriculum helps children's develop musical abilities while learning more about God's love. Many of the greatest Bible truths children learn are conveyed through music.

Children in grades four through six participate in the Young Musicians Choir. The Young Musicians provide worship leadership several Sundays each year and culminate the year with a full-scale musical.

Missions Education
Wilshire's missions education program for children is called Globetrekkers. The program meets on Wednesdays from 6:45 to 7:30 p.m. (during the school year).

Through Globetrekkers, children travel around the world to learn about the work of missionaries working among some of the world's most needy people. Students learn about geography, world cultures and Jesus' command to make disciples of all nations.
