Calling all children to Wilshire’s “Passport to Adventure” on Wednesday evenings.
Children's and preschool's music and missions has begun for the fall, and the start time is 5:45 p.m., each Wednesday night. Dinner will be served in the Youth Center beginning at 5 p.m.
In an effort to accommodate families who desire to get younger children home to bed, the Wednesday evening schedule has been changed to end 30 minutes earlier than in previous years.
The fellowship meal will continue to be served from 5 to 6 p.m. every Wednesday. However, the start time for preschool and children’s choirs will move from 6 p.m. to 5:45 p.m.
Preschool and children’s choirs will run from 5:45 to 6:30 p.m., followed immediately by Globetrekkers from 6:30 to 7 p.m. Globetrekkers is Wilshire’s unique missions education program for older preschoolers and children.
The Wednesday evening Bible study for adults will run from 6 to 7 p.m., as before.
During the remainder of construction on the new Community Hall, the fellowship meals will be served in the Youth Center. Adult Bible study also will be held in the Youth Center. After the new Community Hall opens in late fall, both activities will move to that larger space.
Children’s hand bells for third through sixth graders will resume Sept. 17 and will meet from 4:45 to 5:20 p.m. This group will be led by Sarah Stafford.
Beginning hand bells for third through sixth graders who never have rung before will meet with Shana Watson at the same time.
