Causes to support
Unified Budget. The primary, day-to-day, essential work of the church and its missions partners is undergirded by the Unified Budget. This includes the operating budget of the church that addresses both in-house and external ministries. This is the most important place to include in your financial stewardship. Once the Unified Budget has been satisfied, all other monies spill over into other 'buckets' representing Missions Plus, Building Reserve Fund, Pathways to Ministry and Vision 20/20.
George A. Mason Pathways Endowment. This is an endowment fund managed by the Baptist Foundation of Texas on behalf of Wilshire. Gifts to the George A. Mason Pathways Endowment are placed in the corpus of the investment fund, which is never spent. From this corpus, a percentage in earnings is drawn down each year to offset costs for the Pathways to Ministry program at Wilshire, specifically the pastoral residency. This is an ideal place for one-time contributions, memorial gifts and estate gifts. Find out more here.
Other designated funds. Contributions are received for a wide variety of other causes affiliated with Wilshire, including the benevolence fund that helps people with food and shelter, memorial gifts to mark someone's death, contributions to any of Wilshire's missions partners. If giving to a cause other than the Unified Budget, be sure to mark the designation on your offering envelope, check, online gift or email.
Ways to give
