Ministry is working for God's justice, mercy and peace in the church, community and all creation. At Wilshire, all members are encouraged to discern their God-given abilities and passions and put them to work both inside the church and outside the church.
A beginning point is to complete the Ministry Interest Survey, which assesses areas of known interest. This information is entered into the church database for use in matching abilities with needs.
The periodic course "Serving by God's Design" is an excellent means of learning more about spiritual gifts and aptitudes, with a view toward finding places of service most fitting for each individual.
Ministry involvement may come in the form of missions work or teaching or service on committees or ministry teams.
