Music education at Wilshire begins in preschool. We offer a full range of children's choirs, beginning with 3-year-olds, and two children's handbell choirs. Children's spiritual, physical, social and musical development is the goal of the program.
Music education at Wilshire begins in preschool. We offer a full range of children's choirs, beginning with 3-year-olds. Children's spiritual, physical, social and musical development is the goal of the program.
Performance is not the most important goal of these choirs. The preschool groups schedule opportunities to share with friends and parents through the year, while the Music Makers sing in worship at least two a year and the Young Musicians lead in worship more often and present an annual musical.
All children's choirs meet from 6 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. on Wednesdays during the school year.
3-year-old choir (3 yrs as of 8/31/07), Room 1314

We also have two Handbell choirs for children offered from 4:45 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. every Wednesday:
Beginning Bells (Grades 3-6; no prior experience), Room 2220
Children's Bells (Grades 4-6; must have rung previously), HB room
