Truett Theological Seminary of Baylor University and was appointed Distinguished Fellow by Georgetown College, Kentucky, in 2004. He is also the founder and president of Joel Gregory Ministries, a non-profit organization supporting a preaching, teaching, counseling, and writing ministry.
