Preschool departments are designed to meet the needs of each age group. The younger preschoolers, birth through 1, are promoted into new classes according to their development. Two-year-olds through kindergarten age are promoted each year with their age groups.
Preschool Sunday School teachers begin by teaching the simple Bible truths that God loves us and wants us to follow him. The ministry applies positive Bible teachings that relate to your child's daily experiences, which in turn lay foundations for continuing spiritual growth. This is accomplished through eight aspects of a child's spiritual growth: God, Jesus, Bible, church, home, self, others, nature.
Younger preschool classes meet on the first floor in a secured area. On Sunday mornings, preschool workers will greet you at the entrance to the preschool wing and obtain information to ensure your child's safety while at Wilshire. Some older preschool classrooms are located on the second floor, directly above the preschool wing. For a map of classroom locations, click here.
Sunday School begins at 9:40 a.m., and most teachers are in their rooms by 9:30 a.m.
