Tiffany Wright has been minister to single adults since August of 2000. At Wilshire she ministers with single adults and college students.
Her main responsibilities include directing a comprehensive Christ-centered ministry for single adults. She works with directors, teachers and leadership for the weekly Sunday school education and with the SALT (single adult leadership team) to balance the singles ministry in the areas of discipleship, prayer, fellowship, community, missions, ministry and hospitality. She has a passion for connecting singles to serve and thrive at Wilshire.
Her philosophy of ministry is that singleness is a healthy season of life; for some it is a short season, for others a choice, and for some a painful time. She seeks to encourage and include all singles in the life of Wilshire.
Previously, she was in television and radio commercial sales. She earned a bachelor of arts degree in mass communication from Southwest Texas State University and a master of divinity degree from George W. Truett Theological Seminary. She was ordained to the ministry in 2003 and is trained as a premarital counselor through Life innovations.
Wright is active in the National Association of Singles Ministers and a local ecumenical women in ministry group. She serves as a resource and leader in numerous capacities for the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship, Texas Baptist Committed and the Baptist General Convention of Texas. In her spare time, she enjoys gardening and gourmet cooking. She is married to Alan Wright, who is a chaplain at Baylor Hospital in Dallas. They have been married since 2003. They have one daughter, Cayton, born in 2007.
