Laurie Taylor is a veteran children's and preschool minister who joined the Wilshire staff in April 2005 as minister to preschoolers. In May 2007, she assumed a new role as minister to families with young children.
She served 13 years as minister of childhood education and minister to families at Hunters Glen Baptist Church in Plano. She and her husband, Johnny, previously were missionaries to Equatorial Brazil. Prior to missionary service, Taylor served First Baptist Church of Whitesburg, Ky., as minister of childhood education.
She is a graduate of Mississippi College, Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and Texas Woman's University.
She and Johnny are the parents of three adult children.
