Early Childhood Learning Center

Wilshire's Early Childhood Learning Center is a licensed child care program that offers a comprehensive approach for preschoolers who turn 3 months old by August 31 of the current school year through pre-kindergartners.

Our teachers use a structured curriculum beginning in our infant classes through our kindergarten readiness classes. This curriculum (WEE Learn) provides age-appropriate learning activities and experiences, creating a balanced program of early childhood education. Developmentally appropriate activities lay the foundation for language, reading, writing and math skills. In addition, emphasis is placed on the exploration of God's world and the development of social skills. Typically, children who complete our program are prepared socially, emotionally, physically, spiritually and cognitively to move into a kindergarten setting.

This is a fee-based program that is self-supporting. Space is limited, and often there is a waiting list for admission.

Fall and spring sessions: Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.  Please note that there is only one registration admission per school year.  Therefore, if your child is too young, they will be eligible for the following school year.

Summer sessions: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Summer session is limited to families who are currently enrolled in ECLC or who have been accepted for enrollment for the upcoming school year.  We are not able to enroll children for the summer only.

Disinfection & Protection for Healthy Classrooms

joewflyco-sm.jpgWe have recently partnered with Joe W. Fly Co., Inc. to provide surface disinfection for all classrooms and hallways. This service will not replace our regular and diligent cleaning schedule; rather it will complement our quest to keep all children healthy and happy through the flu season and beyond.

The service uses a quiet, mobile liquid application system to apply the disinfectant to all touch points, including light switches, door frames and walls. The three-step process eliminates bacteria and pathogens and helps to prevent colds, stomach bugs, and other common childhood ailments. Each time our classrooms and hallways are disinfected, we receive a detailed report of the surface sanitation
levels.

We are confident that this service, in addition to our other cleaning and good hygiene procedures, will help to keep our children healthy this fall and winter. If you have any questions about the service, please feel free to contact Cody Bateman at the Joe Fly Company, or the ECLC office.
